Learn MICS CABG at The Heart Institute

MICS CABG is an advanced minimally invasive bypass technique that results in less pain, less scarring and a faster recovery for patients. In an effort to make this revolutionary bypass procedure more readily available to cardiac patients, The Heart Institute offers ongoing, peer-to-peer training sessions. Physicians from all over the world have the opportunity to personally learn this groundbreaking technique from its pioneer and Medical Director of THI, Dr. Joseph McGinn.

Since developing the procedure in 2005, Dr. McGinn has trained hundreds of respected physicians from all corners of the globe. In fact, in 2011, The Heart Institute held its first-ever MICS CABG conference in which 30 elite physicians from around the world travelled to The Heart Institute for MICS CABG training. It was the first time MICS CABG had been taught on such grand scale.
